SOURCE: 4r70w speedo quits and transmission quits shifting

Be sure to check the vss (vehicle speed sensor) at the output shaft as it's a major input for both engine and transmission. This is the first one to suspect.

Ford taurus 1993 transmission electrical sensor how many are them

There are two sensors. The speedometer cable has a speed sensor, and there's a turbine speed sensor on the drivers side of the trans case. There are also shift solenoids inside the trans attached to the valve body.

What is P0715 code for a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport?

If it's EOBD code, it means transmission turbines speed sensor error.Could be wiring to the TCM. transmission control module. View life data of the transmission. There should two speed data(usually in rpm), one is input from engine and the other the transmission shaft speed.

O/d off light is flashing

Needed transmission oil replace. If problem came back, replace the the turbine speed sensor (or transmission speed sensor, same thing). I fixed the O/D light flashing problem, but I did it in reverse order. Hopefully it is just dirty transmission oil that cause the problem and you can save yourself from replacing the turbine speed sensor.

Were is the input turbine speed sensor located at,and what does it look like.

The turbine shaft speed sensor is located inside the transmission. The transmission will have to be removed and disassembled to access the sensor. The sensor you have now... sound about what it looks like.

How do I locate the turbine speed sensor on a ford escort problem code: P0715

its on the front of the transmission below the coil it compares the input shaft/turbine speed against the speed of the output sensor it is checking to see how much slip or diffrenece in shaft speeds the only time the two shafts are spinning at the same time is when torque converter is in lockup

get this sensor from ford dealer for a little more than $100 bucks

Part number F32Z7F040A

Ford escape 2001. When I accelerate to overtake another car only the rpm shoot up but the speed does not increase.

your transmission needs immediate service. common with the escape. Turbine sensor or low transmission fluid in most cases. otherwise upwards to torque converter failure.
AAMCO transmissions should be your best start

I cannot find the transmission speed sensor...help.thank you... 1997 ford taurus..v6 3.0

your looking for the turbine speed sensor a.k.a transmission speed sensor and not the vechile spees sensor correct? they are two different sensors! the transmission speed sensor is on the side of the transmission facing the side of the car around 11 o'clock in relation to the output shaft witch is where the cv axle goes in! if it is the vechile speed sensonr then it is on top of the transmission tail house for the other output shaft and the other cv goes too. if you follow the transmisssion dip stick down to the transmission it is in that area! good luck

Troubleshooting code p0715 ford explorer 1999. can you tell me what this is saying and possible solutions

P0715 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction in your transmission.

It indicates one or more of the following:
  • an open or short in O/D direct clutch speed sensor circuit# 1 vehicle speed sensor failure
  • O/D direct clutch speed sensor failure
  • ECM
  • Auto-trans assembly
I would definitely find a qualified transmission repair center for solution.
