SOURCE: replaced cylinder head gasket on alfa romero 156

You may have a cracked head or possibly cracked block as well. Did you have the head pressure tested when you pulled it off? All of those will allow coolant to seep into the compustion chamber.

SOURCE: My 1986 Alfa GTV6 dooes

Run a hot wire from the battery to the fuel pump. Give direct connection to to fuel pump from external 12 volt battery source and then crank the engine and see if fuel pump gets power and it runs.--------- If the fuel pump runs with external wire connected through 12 volt battery, then yes its wiring problem and there is shot loose connection in between.----------- Or the problem with relay.------ But i suggest first check the fuel pump relay, this relay many a times cause the problem. The relay gives power, command to the fuel pump top run.------- If the relay is checked faulty, then it has to be replaced.-------- The working procedure of fuel pump in alfa GTV6 is as follows :---

The pumps usually either work or they don't. The pump runs whenever the ignition switch is in the on or start position and the engine is turning. The AFM has a microswitch which is activated as soon as the AFM's door moves. This microswitch allows the fuel pump to run. This is a feature designed to prevent flooding and for safety. The idea here is that if the engine is not running then the AFM door will be closed and the fuel pump will not run regardless of ignition switch position.

Checking the pump is simple. Unhook the air cleaner cover and shove a large screw driver into the AFM jamming its door open. Now go turn the ignition switch to on, NOT TO START and go near the pump and listen to it. The fuel pump is located on the passenger side just forward of the right rear wheel. If you can't hear it running it's not working. If the pump does not run check your fuses, if they are good check for electrical current at the pump with a test light. If it does not have current the problem is probably the relay set located on upper rear corner of the passenger side firewall or the microswitch in the AFM, if it does have current and does not run you need a new or rebuilt fuel pump. The rebuilt ones are just as good. AFM means air flow meter.

The ceramic fuses Alfa has always used corrode and become disconnected, even if they look ok. I had 4 of 'em...
Pull them all, one at a time, run a pencil eraser over the ends and the clips the fuses go into, and replace them.

Why does the emergencybrake light not go out on 1984 alfa romero spider?

When you lower the brake handle it hits a little switch that turns the light off. The switch can be adjusted for height. It's likely set too low.

1986 Alfa 90. 2.5V6. Engine cuts out while driving.

Possible worn spark plugs causing unduly high Voltage which cuts ECU to protect it from arcing feedback. This problem generally produced during acceleration. Car usually re-starts almost immediately. Replace plugs - clean leads should be a fix if these are the symtoms
