SOURCE: Buckling Noise at rear of car (06 Touareg)

if possible have someone stand on the bumper and bounce. while you are under with a flashlight and try topinpoint the noise. if no noise while bouncing, the trouble is in the drive line not suspension. this noise could be something as simple as a seized shock bushing not or a u-joint. maybe the brake cable rubbing somewhere. good luck

It sounds like the hydraulic lifters are bleeding down after sitting for a while... there are ball checks which are supposed to prevent this... Try using a good engine flush (a product that frees sticky lifters) and replace the oil with a good synthetic... Hope this helps...;-)

SOURCE: I have a 1986 vw golf diesel w AC. The thermostat

sounds like your heater matrix is blocked, or you have an air lock in your water system, this also could be down to the engine thermastat not opening when hot, it will show on guage as normal as it uses a different sensor for that hope this helps

Your ignition switch is going bad. The strange noise is the starter remaining engaged and locked to the flywheel. Your best bet is to have the starter tested at your local auto parts store, to deduce that it is not, in fact, your starter.

You need to perform an OBDII diagnostic test and look at the stored faults. Sounds like a temp sensor or Mass Airflow Sensor. Also dirty air filter needs to be changed every 40,000 miles. be sure to delete stored faults and recheck OBDII periodically for new faults.

I have a 2003 ford taurus se around 111,312 miles just had oil changed and bhrakes are fine trans shifts smooth THE PROBLEM: when I first start the car some where around idle id say 1000 rpm it makes...

nothing under car to grind unless it is vibrating down the line. I would jack the car up (support with jack stands) when car is cold climb under car and have someone start it and check visual and listen to see where noise is originating from. without doing this myself im gonna guess pump in trans. But also see if there is an inspection plate to the trans between motor.possibly got bent slightly and rubs against flywheel. at least its a start of the process of elimination without hearing or seeing it myself.

Your transmission is going to fail sooner or later, the whining noise you hear is the the clutch packs in the transmission going out.

Most likely the noise is the accessory drive belt or the timing belt.
