Probably just need to bleed the hydrolic clutch.. You should be able to see the assemble for the hydrolic fork and what looks like a bleeder screw that you would find on your brakes... Bleed it the same way you would brakes..

Hello, you may have more success in the proper category of lawn or farm stuff. Fortunately I have same Tractor. Sounds like clutch fork is not moving clutch the same way each time you press clutch. Could be clutch needs play removed. Sometimes there is a pivot ball for the clutch fork to rest on. When the pivot ball is worn the clutch fork can rock. Also remember RPM to give gears time to stop spinning before changing gears.

The clutchpedal seems to work but does not engage and the fluid level reamains full


It is still a bit unclear what is going on here, when you say it seems to work, do you mean the clutch disengages? Can you change gears OK with the engine running and the clutch depressed?

When you say it does not engage the plate, do you mean the vehicle does not move? To change gears it must DISengage the plate, not the other way round.

Sorry if I seem picky, but I'm trying to get it all straight. If you can change gears OK with the engine running and the clutch depressed, but the vehicle does not move when you let the clutch pedal up, then the clutch is possibly worn out and needs replacing.

If the opposite and you cannot get it into gear with the clutch depressed, then the clutch throwout fork has possibly broken, which is not uncommon. Alternatively but less likely is that there is so much air in the clutch hydraulic line that it has become ineffective.

Does the car want to pull when sitting still in gear with your foot on the clutch? If so, I would say that your clutch is not fully engaging and could be the cause of your grinding when changing gears. If not then I would think the clutch is operating fully and the synchros are worn and need replaced. But either way, with metalic fluid being in the slave cylinder dust boot, the slave cylinder needs changed.

Re position the clutch point so that it has less than 1/4 inch clearance from engaging the clutch throwout bearing

Or the clutch fork has fallen off the thowout bearing on assembly

If you have a cable operated clutch then the inner cable is jamming bin the case and not allowing the clutch to engage. If hydraulic then the compensator port in the clutch master cylinder is blocked holding off the pressure plate and so the clutch is not engaging.

did you bleed the system?? you must bleed the system from the clutch slave. if this has been done, I need more info!! How does the clutch pedal feel, is the clutch slave engaging at all??

A high clutch pedal is good.
There should only be about a half inch of pedal freeplay, before you start to feel resistance.
So the clutch should not engage until it is almost fully released, near the top.
The makes shifting the easiest.

If the shifting is difficult when cold, then put the transmission in neutral and let the clutch out when you warm up the engine.
That will warm up the transmission oil.

Of course you could also check the transmission oil level and change it.
But your question makes me believe you may need more experience on a stick shift. Make sure you do the H pattern carefully, and do not get lazy and turn it into an X pattern.

you dont normally change clutch lining .. you replace the "clutch plate" .. that includes lining .. you have to remove the transmission to get at the clutch plate .. if your clutch is just slipping (not chattering) then that could be just the clutch "free pedal" adjustment ... you should have some free movement of the clutch pedal before it engages the clutch .. maybe an inch or two .. you should feel resistance only after you move the pedal that far .. if there is no free pedal then it may be keeping the clutch from fully engaging .. the free pedal adjustment is usually easy to do and not expensive ..
