Question about Cadillac DeVille
The Cadillac DeVille latch you refer to is a Mini-Wedge door latch and NOT compatable with a GMX322 Cadillac CTS. Please clearly identify your modle and year. You state that the latch will not stay latched. Are you saying thta the forkbolt and detent are not engaged in either primary or secondary positions? Or is this a miscommunication and you mean the latch will not "lock"?

Have a close look at the door latch and see if it is in the lock position. If it is, pull the door handle like your going to open the door and place a screw driver or a pen in the latch and pull it open and then try to close the door and see if the latch holds the door close. The chances are good since most GM products are interchange able, the salvage Yard should answer that for you and can tell you better short cuts then any body on how to replace parts.
