What is a manufactures body code?

Many trouble codes are "manufacturer specific" - the actual code description only applies to that manufacturer. There are 3 or 4 varieties of codes- the best known are P codes meaning "powertrain" codes (related to the engine and drive train). Some are B codes, or body codes, and when you have a Body Control Module, or BCM, a small computer that controls interior electrical circuits and systems (like lights, door locks, etc.), the codes will be stored in the BCM, although the communication between the BCM and the vehicle's main computer-the PCM (powertrain control module) will let the codes be transmitted between them. That is why the main computer can display all codes on the vehicle, whether P codes, B codes, C codes (related to ABS system), or U codes (related to communication links between the modules.

Car won't accelerate

On your dash it says REDUCED ENGINE POWER. Clean your throttle body and reset codes. If codes clear you should be fine if not wiggle and pull on wires at connector for throttle body. The grey one is known to break in the pigtail. Resolder and reset light. A dirty throttle body causes lots of problems

Trouble codes 2107 and 2110

They are TACM (throttle actuator control motor ) codes

Before you install a $700 throttle body, just for the motor,
you need to check all ignition coils for misfires

A really bad coil will not ground out in the computers
It will come back on the TPS Sensor, also on the throttle
body, and you loose the TPS Signals & set your 2107
& 2110 codes

V6 or V8

Get the codes if you have more & let me know them

2006 mercury montego. DTC codes: 2104, 2121, 2126, 2131. Throws a check eng light then the wrench light. Car runs but loses acceleration. ETB and APP sensor changed. No change.

These codes relate to an electronic throttle body fault. Normally its from dirt, hardening oil deposits jamming the throttle body movement. Try cleaning the throttle body first before going down the replacement route. Hope this helps....

The following diagnostic codes P2104, P2111, and P2112 the engine failure mode appears car wont move turn it off and on again and its fine with just the check engine light Happens several timesaday now

all the codes point to throttle body. clean throttle body, especially around throttle plate. check for loose wires, if problems persist. replace throttle body. p2104 is tac system forced idle, p2111 is tac system stuck open, p2112 is tac system stuck closed. clean throttle body good, and see if this fixes it. then go from there. have a good day !!

When drive car go into failsafe p2110 2107 2105

The the codes are related to the Throttle Body --Actuator Control Motor or circuit.

You will need to scan for PID's (Parameter Identifier's) with a professional scanner, not a code reader

Throttle Body may need cleaning but I would say by the codes, it's probably a bad motor. $325.00 Dealer List for part

How to read error codes on a 98 pontiac sunfire 2.2l

You can not access the codes unless you use a code reader, this is because of the letter prefix and the number of codes, there are P codes for the engine and trans, B codes for the body, and I codes for some of the other systems in the body. These scanners are cheap, about $30 on ebay.

Windows and locks

the Body control module is under the drivers seat. I would obtain one at a junk yard or

then take the part to a dealer and have it programed. Also dealer should scan for body error codes. Only a dealers scanner can get the body error codes. With all of this going on I would do this myself. I own a 2001 Aurora. Good luck
