How many n what kind of oil i need to use for a nissan quest 1999

If it has the 4 cylinder in it 5W20 and if you have the 6 cylinder it could be either 5W20 or 10w30. I usually use 5W20 in cold months and 10W30 in hot months. As far as capacity goes, as a general rule if you change the oil but not the filter, not something I recommend, then you start with 4 quarts and adjust from there (Basically by 5 quarts). If you change the oil and filter then start with 4 and a half quarts and check the level and adjust as needed. You could use up to 5 quarts maybe a little more. Make sure you check the level before starting then start the vehicle for 5 minutes shut it down then check the level again after 5 minutes. Make sure the level is between the marks.

What transmission fluid does a 1995 Nissan Quest need? and where can I buy it?

Check with your local auto parts store...Napa, Car-Quest, O'Reilly's, etc. They can tell you exactly what kind of fluid it needs, and how much. (I believe it's something like 9.5 quarts)

Oil consumptiom

Figuring off of national standards thata gasoline engine is allowed to burn 1qt. of oil every 2,000 miles tthey would be correct. But That is not to say for that particular engine providing that oil has been changed every 3000 miles,There could be other problems contributing to your car,for instance cklogged pcv valve, leaking injectors or fuel preasure regulator both can cause fuel contamination to engine oil (Dillution) Thins oil too much,or overheat condition,or failed cat convertor. With this in mind talk with another Nissan dealer if only by Phone.
