How to replace fuel filter

The filter is right under the rear passanger door.

A simple job. Easy clip type fuel line retainers, one you squeeze together and it pops off, the other you have to push towards the fuel line and then pull the filter out.

Do you need a special tool to remove the fuel filter on a 1994 chrysler concorde?

Shouldn't. A screw driver, maybe a 1/4 or 5/16 nutt driver. It's just an inline 5/16" fuel filter usually held on by two hose clamps.

How do you change a fuel filter

First remove fuel pump relay, start engine till it dies, that's to release fuel pressure, go under van, remove both small clips at each end of fuel filter, new filter should come with new clips, remove clamp around fuel filter, then install new one, make sure that the outlet end of the fuel filter, points the the front of the truck.

Need to know the location of the fuel filter on 1994 GMC Jimmy. I have low, slow acceleration.

follow the fuel line coming from the fuel tank towards the front along the side frame rail. You should see it inline with clips holding in place. the clips must be compressed to remove the filter

Fuel filter?

HI. this seems to be a faulty(clogged) filter but, i would also change the fuel pump as well. this is good preventive maintenance. the fuel filter can be changed in the parking lot. it is located near the fuel tank and, it is along the outer frame work, inline with the fuel lines.

You will need to separate the fuel lines on each end of the filter to release it. there will be clips on the ends of the filter that hold the fuel lines. be careful not to break these clips. it is very hard to release the fuel lines of the filter when these clips are broken.

To clarify the location of the filter, it is located Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line

Can not remove the fuel filter on my 1994 ford bronco

Hi, Fuel filters and some other hose connections on vehicles today use a clip mechanism that is easily released with a small plastic tool. These tools are available in most auto parts stores. They come in a set to accommodate different size hoses. and metal barbs. Simply put the longer end of the tool toward the fitting and press to release. Good Luck!
