Question about 2005 Kia Sedona
Go to any of the Autozone and get the vehicle check for codes.
THIS IS A PROBLEM OF SOLENOID STUCK.
This is not a small issue. It may cost you huge bucks. Go to autozone and you may get any of the following codes :-
P0751 Shift Solenoid A Performance or Stuck Off
P0752 Shift Solenoid A Stuck On
P0753 Shift Solenoid A Electrical
P0754 Shift Solenoid A Intermittent
P0755 Shift Solenoid B Malfunction
P0756 Shift Solenoid B Performance or Stuck Off
P0757 Shift Solenoid B Stuck On
P0758 Shift Solenoid B Electrical
P0759 Shift Solenoid B Intermittent

You probably have the overdrive turned off. Look for a button on the shift-lever and push it while driving to see if that solves the problem(also try pushing it repetedly if nothing happens). If nothing happens then you either have an electrical problem or whoever rebuilt the transmission screwed something else up! In that case i would hold them accountable to fix it!

It could be as simple as a linkage adjustment or vacuum control unit or an ATF fluid change.
You might wise to visit a transmission shop where they can got this rebuild.
