How do i find a water leak in my car and where could it be coming in at?

Does your car have A/C and were you using it that day?
If yes, check for blocked drain hose at the condenser housing.

There is water leaking inside above my passenger side door when it rains pretty hard?

is the water leak allowing the water to wick up into the headliner or is the headliner getting wet without water coming past the weather stripping around the door?

If it is wicking then fix the weather stripping.
If the water is getting headliner wet with out passing the weather stripping then you have a leaking sun roof.

You can the door seal by sitting in the car while you have some spray water (garden hose) gentle at the frontal and upper door seal.
If not leak there inspect seal of sun roof and real seal with correct type of sealant.

Check the door rubber seal for flat spots or maybe something stuck to it causing water to get past it.

Hyundai Getz leaks near pedals when raining

My Getz is also having similar problem. I have thrice got water test done from Hyundai server center. After 2nd test they put some sealants underbody and return the car, but still water was leaking in. 3rd time water test, hyundai said its all fine, no problem but still problem persists. It happens when it rains only, so I dont suspect air-con filters or radiator problems. Water pool is created in driver side footwell only. During heavy rain, I tried to troubleshoot but couldnt find any fault point from where water might be leaking inside. Its second year, I have running into this problem, creating stinking smell inside the car due to wet mats. Looks like I need to do away with my car.

Look for auto glass shops in the yellow pages, call and get a price for removal and re-installation of your windshield with a new gasket. The one in your car is 20, and has become hard and cracked.

White smoke is not good. If it was coming from the exhaust that is a symptom of a head gasket leak. Engine overheating is the most common cause of head gasket failure so if it has overheated recently, a head gasket is more likely. Verify adequate coolant level and normal water temperature until it can be checked by a mechanic.

Water leaks into right side floor board during a blowing rain?

My 06 was leaking during rain also. It turned out to be the sunroof. There are two drain tubes in the front of the sunroof that run the water down the corners to the ground and two drain tubes that drain water out the back corners. The water would seep around the glass, which is expected, but both of the tubes on the front of mine were plugged, and the water would overflow behind the dash and fill my floorboards. If my H3 was leaning to the left during a storm then the drivers side would be full of water. If leaning right, then the passenger side. I had to open sunroof and blow compressed air into the drain holes to clear them, but be careful, too much air will separate tubes from sunroof and then you will have to remove the inside paneling around sunroof to get to tubes and reconnect. You may only have one side plugged. you can test it by opening sunroof and pour a little water in the small catch pan in the front of the sunroof and see if it drains as expected (to the ground under the firewall on left AND right side). You can see the holes in each corner of catch pan to drain the water. Plug one with your finger, then the other to find the plugged side. Good luck!! Hope this helps!!

1997 Buick LeSabre rear passenger always stays wet

take your plastic shroud off between hood and front winshield . clean out leaves and deris so rain water or any water can drain out under front fenders instead of inside your car. water can and will damage your resistor module next to your heater blower fan. one example of this is fan works only on high speed only ..

2004 Acura MDX Water Leak

The 2002 MDX I worked on turned out to be a drainage problem . Seems the factory installed foam in the bottom of the hinge pillar post which blocked the drain holes . Take off the mud flap , remove enough of the splash shield to access the bottom of the hinge pillar and drill a half inch hole at the front lower corner aiming the drill slightly upward ( be sure to protect the bare metal) .Water gushed out when I did this. For extra ins. remove the kick panels and check for two holes a few inchs from the floor, plug and chaulk these holes. Hope this worksfor you too

Water leak

sounds like you have a window seal leak.  The only other way water will leak into the car is a leaky heater core or a clogged A/C drain.  Do you have a sun roof that could be leaking?  As they have drains too.
