You have a fuse for it ,check the fuse box ,it might not say trunk on fuse panel, you might need to pull those fuses out one by one checking each one to see if blown, if the center between the two sides are broke the fuse is blown, hope this helps you, thanks robert b.

The trunk problem of not being to open with remote or button inside of the vehicle is caused by a bad relay swith, located on the passenger side of the car. the switch is $16 at the dealers.

Trunk will not open with key chain button, in car button or with actual key Truck will open if I climb in from backseat and pull emergency release. 2001 Chevy Impala LS

If the key will not open it . Then the trunk lock will need replacing. If nothing opens it then it appears to be faulty.Otherwise atleast the key when all else fails should open it.Provided you have the right key and not one that does not go to your car.

I have a 2008 mitsubishi spyder and my trunk won't open. I have pushed the button under the spoiler and the button on the keys and nothing is working. The fuses are fine however I hear the electronics...

see if you can pull the back seat down or remove and there should be a safety trunk release inside trunk which may even glow in the dark.

Trunk won't open with either remote but will open with trunk button on drivers door

I would check the owners manual or with Cadillac - its possible the remotes lost part of the signal and need to be reset. It sounds like the receiver is not getting a signal from them by using that button.
Could be the receiver too.

Trunk won't open

Lower the back seat and crawl into the trunk and see what the latch is doing when you activate the key fob. the trunk lid will have to be open to enable any repairs. Also an emergency release cable is probably visible (yellow handle) inside the trunk and will Open the trunk lid.

Trunk won't open

The actuator may sound as though it is working but the latch could be damaged or misaligned. Also, the actuator could be too weak to operate the latch. If it is necessary to replace the actuator, your Camry is old enough to make a junkyard a likely source.

Inside trunk release won't open trunk on 2002 Camry. Lock will not turn with master key. Remote trunk opener will open trunk.

1. Open trunk
2. Place latch in lock position
3. Pull inside trunk release to see what isn't moving
4. If trunk key won't turn, the key may be worn out and need to be replaced

'91 LS400, trunk will not open. key will not turn, electric latch switch clicks but won't open. valet lock in open position. Tried 1) disconnect battery, reconnect battery, use switch, push down on...

If you hear the sound of the electric latch switch, then it's working but stuck somehow. Just put the key in the switch and turn it to the right and then pull up the trunk or ask someone to help you. it will open. I tried it today and it opened with me. It was stuck from inside by some kind of a broken plastic pieces. Just removed it and now it's working fine. good luck
