I have a Peugeot Partner 1.4, 2005 model. I was driving yesterday the speed was 90 Km/h and Speed limiter stopped suddenly for 15 sec.(dropped down reading 0 km/h ) and started again while the engine was running @ 3000 rpm ( reading 90 km/h ) . Please can you tell me what happened? Taking into consideration this was 3rd time and no warning of any malfunction appeared.

hallo behind front grill (near engine coolant blower motor) you have two relays for engine blower motor and resistor. Or one of this relay is foulty (or wires in conector) (oxidation becouse of the wather), or the resistor is broken. yours engine have two speed (stage) fan and probably first does not work. you can check when engaging AC first stage should work instantly. second start in about 100°C
renew the flexible hose connections at the tank end if fitted and not a plastic pipe going straight to sender unit .Sucking in air problem is one of THEM jobs .a right pain to find 99%of the time .but any flexible rubber pipes can and do go porous with age
First - I am amazed at the runaround they have given you over this - and all the work they have charged you for.
This seems to be stuck in "limp mode" - which is an electronic basic running mode when it doesn't get all the info from the sensors (of which there are too many on peugeots !)
The most likely to start with is any damage to the exhaust sections - or any catylist fitted. Diesels use them to reduce particulates, and can become blocked - causing backpressure and all sorts of running problems.
The cheapest solution to you is to take it to an exhaust specialist - and ask them to check it.
A bad knock can shatter a ceramic catylist - virtually blocking the entire system.
I have a peugeot - but after numerous electronic faults - will never buy another.
depends on your model and engine. mine does on empty motorway max. 150 km/h and on hill/slop upwards 120km/h. If you let reprogram your ecu for performance may be you'll gain more speed (google it for ecu reprogramming and you'll find more infos).
