Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Alero
My driver side power window dies on me randomly....help!!
Remove door panel, check to make sure the wires are connected properly.if that does not solve the issue, it is probably the motor. you can take apart the motor with is a magnet with an armature in the center with copper terminals on the end, make sure there is no water or rust in the motor housing. be careful doing this because it needs to go back together correctly. your better off buying a new motor
also, check with a jumper wire and something with power, if the motor works fine when you touch a powered wire, from a battery or an external source. if the motor moves fine then it seems like you have a power issue getting to the motor. hope that is helpful
