Question about 2006 Audi A4

1 Answer

2006 Audi A4 2.0 rpm was at 8 in park and foot on brake!

My mom was driving our used audi a4 and tried to pass a slow car in front of us, and when she got close to the said car and put her foot on the brake, it accelerated! while in the acceleration mode, we pulled over into a little development and it still wanted to zoom of into a tree while in park. the rpm was up to 8000 in park and on brake. this happened before once, and it never happened to my dad when he would come down in our other car to trade. i dont know whats going on and its really scary. help!

It sounds like a stuck open throttle body. take off the air intake hose and see what it looks like, if it is carbonated that is the place to start. it could be a huge multitude of issues but start simple and work your way up from there. keep me posted

2002 audi a4 e-brake won't release

It sounds like your rear brake pads are frozen to the rotor, or a small amount of rust is causing them to stick. Put all the tires back on and try to drive a few feet, that usually pops the pads off the rotors.

You have two problems. First you probably have a bad brake master cylinder, or a severe brake fluid leakage somewhere. Second forcing it into park damaged your transmission.

Whenever I put the Audi A4 in reverse it shifts fine but when i put in in drive it shifts real hard and when I am slowing down at times it downshifts like something hit me.Where do I add trans fluid?

down the dipstick tube!!!(really)DO NOT OVERFILL...
Your audi is fitted with a fuzzy logic gearbox, it will change according to your driving style.TRY THIS,put into 1st and without touching gas pedal, let the car accelerate to top gear, stop Then using onle 1/3rd gas pedal do it again.then using 2/3rds do it again.then only using the minimum pedal req accelerate to max legal limit.(try not to use brake pedal, let the car slow down itself, until you have to)then drive as normal, it will feel like a different car.

Audi a4 1995 1,6l no rpm in instrument and warning

If you've just had the instument changed then its probable that the connector has come loose and will have to be re-connected. It could also be that the instument has failed. Take it back to the mechanic who changed the old one. This assumes that the car drives ok and all the fluids are topped up and ok.

Is there a rear brake pad warning light on Audi 2003 A4

Ther is usually no warning light, but if you hear squeeling they might need to be changed. Another way to check them is if when you step on the brakes to slow down you may feel a little shimmy in the front wheels which mean that the front brakes are doing most of the slowing down and that the rear brakes are worn.
