Question about 2004 Volvo XC90
2004 volvo xc90 started stalling and surging a few days ago but no warning lights. actually cut off one time after removing the fuel cap while car was running. ran like **** after that for the rest of the day. cranked it again today, ran ok but with slight surging on acceleration for a few miles then **** again. maf or etm and can i do this myself. this is the biggest piece of junk i have ever owned. a $6000.00 transmission and $300.00 headlights are just the start. volvo has the safest cars on the road because their all on the side of the road
Same problem. It runs worse with the air conditioning running, still doesn't fix it though. Also, Volvo will tell you the transmission is "sealed" but if you take it to a transmission place they can clean it out.

It could be a intake leak or low fuel pressure.
