Question about Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

1 Answer

My 1975 mercedes 450sl convertible will not start now since I fixed heater vents and hoses. It ran fine earlier today, but will not turn over at all now. Where under the hood are there any fusible links?

Sugestion: do a visual over the areas you repaired the vents and hoses you may have bumped a wire and inadvertantly disconected your circuit or grounfef a fuse link most often fuse links run from the firewall under the hood close to the steering column:-) good luck in your search

1975 450 SLC. When AC turned on, cool air comes out off center vents but heat comes out off both the right and left vent. Help please, Harold

The duo-valve needs to be replaced. It controls the coolant flow to the heater core. They get stuck open or the rubber diaphram comes apart and no longer seals. In either case it allows the coolant to enter the heater core and causes hot air to blow out of the side dash vents. See if the inserts are available separately.

2001 mercedes cl500 wont start...cranks but wont start. Happend while sitting in the garage. The car earlier in the dat ran fine

Open the air cleaner or intake hose and while someone is turning it over spray some ether into it with no more than three second bursts. If it cranks then you have a problem with fuel delivery and if it doesnt you are looking at something with the spark or ignition.
