Question about 1992 Honda Civic
Could be timing belt as nuttbysteve suggests.
If that checks out fine, check for spark. If no spark, it may be the coil, or maybe the igniter.

Sounds like no compression due to a broken timing belt take the distibutor cap off and have someone wind the engine if the rotarbutton is not turning there is your answer also should be able to pry the plastic cover on the timing belt to see it
