Question about 2003 Dodge Intrepid
2003 Chrysler Intrepid Sensor reads P0700 problem
It runs fine now had 1 problem where it reved high, wouldnt swith into 3 gear.
Is it something I can fix on my own?
P0700 is a code in the engine computer telling you that you have codes in the transmission computer. You need to have the transmission computer scanned.

The code you are showing is likely pointing to the Solenoid Pack that is located in the valve body of the transmission. If you attempt the repair yourself (which can be done), plan on about 4 hours of your time being invested. You can buy "remanufactured" solenoid packs on eBay for about $80-$100, while new is $200+. A ****** shop will charge $600 all-in for the job which includes the part. Doing it wyourself will save you over $300. This is a common error on higher mileage Intrepids.Happened to mine where it would drop into "limp mode", replaced the solenoid pack and everything works again. Engine light is off too! Just Google "solenoid pack replacement 42LE transmission" and you'll find all the info you need. You could try "solenoid pack replacement Intrepid" as well.
Enjoy the savings!
