It sounds right. You can buy one of those "Gas it yourself" cans with the hose already on it at your local wally world. Just be sure to pay attention to the little guage on the hose. Overcharging can be dangerous. It sould have a green acceptable area between 25-32 pounds.

first of all why did you charge the system it never needs to be recharged unless you have a leak in it that being said when you turn on the ac do you hear the compressor clutch kick in and if so do you see condensation on the accumulator and does it feel cold? yes/no if yes then the vacuum door inside the car is not opening thus giving you warm air========if no the refrigerant leaked out again because of a leak ///// or the cycling switch is bad///// or there is still not enough refrigerant in the system to get the switch to turn on the compressor//// or your compressor is n/g

No air, now it works.

It sounds like the air temperature control blend door actuator or blend door may be sticking. Only a shop will be able to confirm this. I will note that your post is very confusing and provides little info that can be clearly understood about what is going on here. You may need to read what you wrote and clarify it a bit. Thanks

How do I recharge the air condition on my 2000 nissan frontier?

If it needs to be charged,it has a leak & is poluting
the atmosphere

Therfore it need to be leak tested, system repaired,
a vacuum pump attached & the system vacuumed
dry,then properly recharged

You have no way to add & know what is in there
or being put in

You need A/C Manifold Gauges just to check the system
operation & charge correctly.

Charging may not be the issue at all

Need it diagnosed by a person train in A/C repair

Air condition blows out warm air

The AC compressor automatically engages when you have your car in the defrost setting regardless of what the temperature setting is, it removes moisture from the air that's coming out to keep your windows from fogging up.

Compressor turns, holds a charge but does not blow cold air even when I turn on the outside air it blows warm air

OK, this is air-conditioning 1-0-1

You say that i holds a charge, and the compressore turns, but does the comprressor cycle on and off, as this is indicating that there is enough charge, and once there is low pressure detected, it turns the compressor on, and when it reaches a high pressure, the compressor cycles off.

Lastly, when engine running and AC on, if you feel the 2 pipes going in to the firewall, one should be hot, the other should be cold ???...is this happening ???

Low refrigerant charge or a sticking blender door. Check the suction line for temperature. A cold tube means that the charge is fine.

2005 Acura RL A/C blowing warm air

I have just purchased this car in the winter and found that the A/C was not blowing cold air. I am one month past warranty. I was told the same about the compressor not engaging. There is a charge as well and the Freon was drained and retested. Do yourself a favor....I have had the A/C clutch and Stator replaced, then the compressor, and now after $1000 (not including the charge of $1500 for compressor replace)I still have no A/C. It turns out that now the dealership has informed me that there is a blockage that cannot be blown free and the entire dashboard must be removed and a valve and the filter must be replaced. The blockage caused the clutch, stator, and the compressor to blow due to the Freon trying to be pushed through the blockage. The total cost to the job is $2,300 and the dealership ended up keeping my car for 1-1/2 weeks. Save yourself a lot of time and hopefully money and bring this to the attention of your repairman. Most of the time took them trying to isolate the problem. This sounds like a common occurance in the 2005 RL. I hope you have better luck than I did and hopefully save you some money.
