does the car turn over, does starter make any sound when you say it wont start do you mean it wont turn over ? who did the work or did you did the work your self. replacing timing belt, if it one notch or teeth off, it out of timing. being 4 cylinder the rotor has to travel a bit of distance com pair to v6 or v8, timing on 4cyc has to be accurate it has verry little to none tolerance. If you think timing is correct, 1st check and ground spark plug to see if you getting any fire, 2nd check if you getting fuel, 3rd if everything check out than its your timing. if you don't set timing correctly you will bend the valve and can damage your cylinder head.

I have a 1990 & it's fuel injected. If you have a carb then you got problems. It'll cost about $300 to fix it,there's no way around it. If it's loading up on fuel than it's probably the carb.

My 1991 honda civic runs fine going down the road, when I shut it off it wont start is there more than one relay for the fuel pump.

Not that I know of.
Are you getting spark to the plugs when it won't start, and how long do you have to wait for it to start ?

Why does my 1994 honda civic ex not start only when it is hot outside?

My first guess would be the fuel pump relay or the ignition module.
Look for something that gets hot and fails like a relay or electrical part.
When it won't start, check for spark at the plugs and the fuel pressure.

You may need a new O2 Sensor, but that isn't
why it won't start.

Don't throw parts at it

Have a local repair shop ,at least check it out
for you

I was driving and my 1991 honda civic started losing power i pulled over shut off the engine now it wont start what is the problem?

It sounds like you are out of gas but there are other causes that are just as likely. To start when cranked there needs to be the right fuel air mixture available, compression in the cylinders and spark at the right time. If any of these is not there then it won't start. I would call for help. I hope this helps.

Try doing an ohms test on your fuel injectors. Sounds like 1 or 2 could be bad.
