Bring it to east L.A., someone will test it for free. Kidding. wait till your wife is sleeping and at 3 in the morning try to sneek out of the house.. Ok, seriously. Leave a window open, set your alarm and open the door by reaching in and using the inside handle. Give the alarm time to set.

Try a good bookshop that specialises in auto manuals and books. I have found several on the net. Just type in bmw manual and you will get book stores that handle manuals.

Just converted bmw 735i h reg to manual trans and im having trouble with sorting wiring in car

what wiring do you need to know about...and you may have problems you cant solve there is wiring for things you dont have anymore since you got rid of the auto trans. and the computer in the car needs some of these signals from the trans to run properly

BMW E38 735i no reverse gear..????

Before you make any other moves, I would try having the transmission flushed and refilled and filters changed and if that doesn't work, you may have burned out the modulator so you may have to shop around for another transmission or have that one rebuilt, whichever would be feasibly financial for you.

1988 bmw 735i won't start

hi remarkable08;

When you turn the key to start, you should have 12 volts at the small terminal on the starter solenoid.

If you have 12 volts but no cranking the solenoid is not working. If you do not have any voltage on this
terminal there is a problem in the ignition key wiring. If you have no way to measure the voltage, your best bet is to remove the starter and solenoid, take it to an Auto Zone type store and have them check it for you. When you go to remove the starter, be sure to disconnect the ground lead on your battery first.

Hope this helps. Good luck Loringh PS Please leave a rating for me if appropriate. Thanks
