Question about Nissan Frontier

The spare tire hitch on my 2003 nissan frontier crew cab is missing the notched cup necessary to insert the "T" bar and unwind it. I cannot lower the spare tire as there is nothing to insert the T bar into. Any ideas? Help?

Go to the junkyard and buy a replacement...or go to a tire dealer and ask them to help , what could they charge you $20?
Good Luck

FWIW I have the same problem on my 2004 and have not determined the solution yet. I,d like to get it up on a lift and see if I can even get to the existing "winch" with the tire in place. I,m receptive to suggestions.

How to remove spare tire from 2007 nissan frontier?

Not sure about the 2007 but in an earlier one I owned there was a key-slot opening above the rear bumper (and below the tailgate) that you put the jack handle into and cranked it down using the chain lift mechanism that was built into it.

Can not remove lower intake manafold

many times the intake won,t just lift off.sometimes you must use a pry bar to lift it up.you must put the pry bar under the edge and carefully pry it loose but be careful not to break the edge.i assume you double checked to see if you missed a bolt.good luck.

I changed tires on my 2007 frontier... they have a different tire pressure which is 44 psi... i set them at 40 psi... now the light will not go off... what can i do

Use the listing on the door jamb, not the side of the tire. If all are ok, then one of the sensors may have been damaged when replacing the tires? Be sure the spare is OK. some spares will have a sensor.

How do i get my spare tire down? special tool? where?

Hello! Here is procedure to remove spare tire...Guru...saailer

  1. Park on a level surface and put on the emergency brake. If the car is near the side of a road, switch on the hazard lights.
  2. Locate the tire repair kit. It consists of a jack, a jack rod and a wheel nut wrench. In the regular cab, pull the entire seat bench forward. The tools are located behind the drivers seat. The King cab model has a tool case located directly behind the driver's seat. The Crew cab stows the tools behind the back bench. Pull the bench forward and remove the tools.
  3. Insert the square end of the jack rod into the square hole in the nut wrench. This gives the jack rod a handle.
  4. Find an oval shaped hole in the back of the truck under the middle of the tailgate. Look through the hole and find the winch for the spare tire. It is a circle with two notches.
  5. Insert the T-shaped end of the jack rod into the hole. Slip the T-shape into the double notched circle of the winch.
  6. Turn the jack rod counterclockwise to lower the spare tire to the ground.
  7. When the tire is completely lowered to the ground, remove the center retainer chain and pull the tire out from under the truck.
  8. Wind the jack rod clockwise to completely retract the retainer chain

Fuel filter location

No, it is in front of the fuel tank right behind the tranny crossmember support somewhat hidden by a metal cover. Easy to see if you just look near the middle of the truck - under the where a back seat would be if you have the 4-door model.

2007 Nissian Frontier trailer lights

There should be a 30 AMP mini blade fuse in the fuse box under the hood that you are probably missing. I assume that since you got the relays with the wiring kit, that you got the kit from a Nissan dealer. If that is true, there should be a fuse in the kit also- in a sealed bag that has the "trailer wiring harness owner's manual" in it.

Hope this is helpful!
