Question about 1992 Buick LeSabre
I was on my home from work sitting at a red light, the light changed and i realized my car was off. i placed it in park and tried to start it but it would not turn over. i was trying and but it would just not start. the more i tried to start it the weaker it got till finally all i could get is a clicking noise from the engine. i waited till the next day and tried to start it again and again got the clicking and some minor smoke and a burning smell. now all i get is a clicking noise when i try to start it. it not the battery because i replaced it with a fully charged one and i got the same thing. What would make the car just die out in traffic and not turn over again. It almost seems as if there are a couple problems that happened. If anyone has any suggestions it would be helpful.
Hello its your starter and the smoke might of been the crank sensor! mr.beef

It sounds like a battery cable is bad. It could be corroded or have a bad connection. Both cables,(positive or negative) could cause this.

The LeSabre's starters are known for going bad. I would replace the starter and I am sure that will fix your problem. Hope that helps!
