Question about 1996 Ford Thunderbird LX

Changed motor from 95to-96 in thunderbird

The car wont get fire, and a few of the plugs are different in the 96. what could i do to make it get fire and start. or just to even jump it to make it run. its the 4.6L v8 lx

if check engine light is on. take it to an auto parts store and they will read the problem code for free. auto-zone etc, no sense in spending money if you do not have too for the wrong part. have a good day !

MY 96 3.8 LX THUNDERBIRD WONT START


Yes the coil does have to be bolted down to stay running but it still should fire.Think maybe you have the cam sensor not timed right or the distributor time right?Try and turn the distributor in different positions to see if maybe that s the cause..If it starts to back fire or buck or run slow the timing may be of..That would be the first to check..

Thunderbird won't crank


that your neighborhood mechanic didnt gap the spark plugs if they are not gaped right then the car will not run at all. and also why only change 4 of the 8 you are supose to do them all and a nother thing check the spark plug wires make sure they are connected to the right spark plug the check the dist. cap make sure the cap is not faulty
