Question about 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
Call Nissan North America and file a case.
I did this and told them I have seen this online and that others are getting theirs repaired for free.
They had me take it into my dealer to run a diagnostic in order to continue with the case. The fee for the diagnostic was 95 bucks but my dealer said that if Nissan paid for the repair they would not charge me for the diagnostic after I complained about the price of the diagnostic as it is only hooking a cable to you car to read the computer.
Anyway in the end Nissan covered the replacement free of charge.
When speaking to them you might also want to mention if you are a previous nissan owner as well as they seemed to consider that quite a bit and mentioned they wanted to keep a loyal customer.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
