The fuel filter on your 2003 Buick Century is located on the left side under the back dor and is up into the inside rocker panel. The filter is held in by a strap that has a 1/2 inch bolt and the filter itself requires a 13/16 wrencha dn a 5/8 line wrench when taking it apart. The line coming in from the trank side has the push on connector that you need to push it towards the filter body and then squeeze the two plastic wing to let it release the filter. The new filters now come with a new plastic wing so it yo really get fustrated with it you can force it and it should still be okay as the new one will work when you put it back on.

Where is the fuel pump shut off switch on a 2003 Buick Centry?

I have never heard of a car that has a fuel cut off switch. Normally you just turn off the ignition to stop it. If you want to leave the ignition on and turn the fuel pump off, just pull the fuse.

Is the check engine light on? Was there a code or codes that told you this? (P0171, P0174) What engine do you have? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

It's possible you have to go from behind it, such as reach underneath the bumber and it should be able to twist it out.

Fuel filter, 1997 buick centry custom. could you tell me where the fuel filter is located and how to change it on this auto? thanks! also, how hard is it to change? thanks, r.a.

The filter is back by the left rear tire under the car I believe. The filter itself is not very expensive. Like $15-$20 maybe. A person with some mechanical skills can do it but of coarse care must be taken because you are dealing with fuel. You can do it with basic tools. Make sure you use best safety practices when getting under a car. E-brake engaged, car off and in park, wheel chocks behind tires.. You may need to be on your back when doing it looking up at filter. There might be pressure in the line that may cause fuel to spray out of it. So great care must be taken especially if you are a novice. It might be a good idea to have a professional do it. It shouldn't cost too much. Besides, if you have any doubt it is better safe than sorry. Maybe go to an auto parts website and see a picture of the filter then see if you can find the filter on the car and determine if you think you can do it or not. Hope this helps!

I replaced the engine in a 2003 buick centry now it only start when i pour gas in the breather

did you use your old fuel rail and injectors? salvage yard motors tend to get dirt, spider ****, and mud dobber nests in any open line while sitting. check all the electrical plugs on the motor to make sure the injectors are getting power. how long did the vehicle sit not running? could be the pump has rusted and frozen up from sitting.
