Master cylinder has been replaced, system has been bled. I found both ABS sensors have broken wires and the main power wire going to the controller/ proportioning valve was also broken. I still have a spongy brake pedal after it is started. brakes still work but only after the pedal is nearly on the floor.

If the brakes are spongy, there is still air in the lines. Are you sure that you are using the correct technique to bleed the brakes as it is generally a very simple job to get all the air out.

SOURCE: 92 dodge van rear ABS-brake and ABS lights on/can't reset?

Its probably how your bleeding your brakes, but first make sure the bleeding nipples are facing upward. You should bleed diagonaly, front pass wheel then rear driver wheel. Then front driver wheel and rear pass wheel. The abs light has its own computer your have to get it scanned to clear the codes and turn off the light

SOURCE: Replaced Master Cylinder and Brake Booster on 03

Did you replace the master cylinder and booster because of this? If so then did this problem follow any maintenance done on the brakes? Was there any leaks prior to the replaced parts?
The pedal dropping to the floor with no leaks would point to items you have already replaced or air in the brake lines. Normally though this follows a break job.

It could be that you had a bad master or booster and the brakes were not properly bled after their replacement. This could seem like the same problem but with different sources.

This may seem obvious to some to bleed the system after any work but even if you did this already you should do it again. Bleeding air from the master all the way to the rear cylinders takes quite a bit of time.

Hope this helps but if not please let me know the answers to the questions at the top.

If the brakes are spongy you will have to bleed the brakes again. It sounds like there is still air in them.
If you are doing it manualy make sure that the pedal is held down until the bleed screw is tight.
There is a brake bleeding kit that can be bought, this makes the job a lot easier.

How to bleed abs brakes when air is in master cylinder

Abs brakes have to be bled in the order the manual states, you will need a power bleeder then follow instructions in the manual. it is the abs cylinder that is hard to get the air out of, imposable if the instructions are not followed .

No brake pressure...

I would keep bleeding. If there is not any brake fluid leaking, there must be air in the system. with the master cyl cap off, open one bleeder valve on the front and let it bleed for 10 mins. close and repeat with the rest. there must be an air bubble in the system! good luck

Brake pedal to floor

first did you perform a bench bleed on the master cylinder? if not bench bleed the master cylinder. had a neighbor with a similar problem with a ford truck. did some reaserch and found the ABS system needed to be bled. one way to bleed air out of it is to connect the diagnostic computer and perform an ABS bleed and then bleed the brakes like you normaly would. The other way was to take the vehicle somewhere you can slide around safely and slam on the brakes causing the ABS to activate. do this a few times and then perform the normal bleed method.

No pressure on brake pedal 95 suburban 2500 4x4 7.4L

try bleeding your ABS block first, if that doesn not work could need a master or proportioning vavle. Some scan tools are capable of bleeding the ABS system on some vehicles, and some you have to bleed manually.

1998 f150 abs and park light on fluid good, feel no dragging

ABS light being on could be a bad sensor or broken wire to the sensors. ABS is on the front brakes, check the front wheels inside for wiring going up to the main ABS ecu mounted at the master cylinder. Check the wires from at the bearing assy. then follow up to the ABS ECU or the brain, for any cuts or nicks. You can have a bad wheel sensor you check these with a volt/ohm meter, Find the plug at the wheel and unplug it ck for ohms should read like .018 ohms. If you raise the wheel and spin it you can then read volts, depends on how fast you spin the wheel you can get 2-3 volts. .

Poor Braking power- new cylinder-new lines new ABS module -bled

i have ran into this problem , but on earlier gm products---check the local dealership or a well known mechanic shop that has all data and check for bullitains. what i had found out was there was some trucks that gm had installed the wrong power booster . not saying your booster is to blame, but may be a great place to look seeing you replaced abs modules ,master cylinder ect---hope that helped out!!

2002 honda accord tcs light comes on and will not go off

I assume tht is traction control. Check fuses ,eeven abs fuses ,traction control is part of abs. If fuses ok will need scan tool to find cause of lite going on. Most common are abs sensors and broken abs wires. And if abs tone ring is part of axle shaft some rock may have damaged teeth of ring .
