Water leaks are fun to trace out. the drain holes and tubes can be seen with roof open and can be unplugged with compressed air . but usually the headliner is soaked and leaks on to seats the windshield will leak on to passenger floor. remove glove box and check for wetness along "A" pillar.

How to clean out B pillar drain on 2002 monte carlo ss and where is it located?

If you drop down the headliner I think the drain hose runs to the rear and comes out in the trunk ? But can be blown out with compressed air from sun roof .

I have a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS. Everytime it rains I get standing water on the passenger side floor. I have changed the cabin air filter and it still is happening. Getting worse with every rain

Hi, very likely you have a leak from the wind shield and these can be proven or disproved by running tap water on the passenger side of the windshield. If the windshield is leaking a technician should be able to reseal the strip around the windshield or replace the windshield if its broken. Thank you for using fixya!

Under the passenger side front seat and back floorboard is mysteriously wet. Any ideas how it got that way?

Yeah, there is a condensate drain that will get plugged up with stuff ( a leaf was in mine) Its frickin hard to get to though. but check to see if the water feels COLD. In my case, the location was right of center ( passenger side) see a plastic housing with a tube going through fire wall or disappearing into the carpet? the bottom of that tray collects condensate from the a/c coils and drains it to outside. If the water is HOT, and you smell radiator fluid, then you might have a heater core leak. Maybe this will help you nail it down.

Water leaking into 2002 monte carlo floor. where are the drain holes in the rocker panel?

there are none. you either have a bad heater core or your air conditioner drain hose is clogged. It should be draining above the shock on the passenger front side.

If it is just water start with the AC, if it has coolant in it then its the heater core.

I have a 2003 Volvo S60 that ends up with a wet carpet in front of the passenger seat whenever it rains (Seattle). Also, when I am driving and turning left or right at corners, I can hear water sloshing...

The drain for your A/C may be clogged causing the water to accumulate. You should be able to locate the drain from under the vehicle on the pasenger side, perhaps there is an accumulation of debri such as leaves for example. Also, sunroof drain may also be blocked. I can say I have seen this problem before, and its a good place to start. Good luck

Floor board on passenger side door gets wet when it rains. i am sure a vent drain is clogged

The drains in the wiper wells are probably clogged. You need to remove the plastic 'vent screen' under the wipers to clear out the debris. Remove the wipers and a few screws, not difficult at all. Also, under the hood, you will see a vertical tube on each side of the car under the wiper wells. These can be removed from under the hood without removing the wipers, but you will probably have to clear the wells anyway. What happens is the water backs up and enters the car through the fresh air inlet and comes in around the blower fan. Good Luck.

2004 monte carlo leaking water into the interior

Have someone remove cowl or cover to access cabin air filter box area, and clean it out good. Build up of leaves & other debris has been known to cause leaks inside because of drainage plugged.
