Question about 1987 Ford F 250

1 Answer

I'm trying to locate a "No start" flow chart for a 1987 f-150 (302) Had the no start problem before, It has always been the very common problem w/ the fuel pump relays. I'd like to be able to pull a flow chart up on-line, if someone knows a site to go to. Thanks for any help anyone can give. Bill D.

Go to http://www.aldatadiy.com and purchase the manual for your unit, the engine manegment system including the fuel relays are in the diagrams with detailed information, yo get the info for one year and can print what yo need or don't need, it will also list recall items and driveability problems for the owner and the mechanic.

Have a 97 tahoe 5.7 /at evry thing was fine then out of nowhere it wont start changed crank sensor plugs wires, coil, cam senor, any ideas?

It could be fuel-related. Do you hear the pump come on with key on? A fuel pressure test would be a starting place. You seem to be looking for a spark problem. Have you verified if plugs are firing? A diagnostic flow-chart of the ignition starting circuit would cover the whole system (including the things you have already replaced), but would help you find the problem without just replacing everything. Another possibility is the ignition control module. BTW, when key is turned on, do your dash l;ights come on? If not, it could be your ignition switch. Check a repair manual for that flow-chart I mentioned.
Last, have you checked for diagnostic codes from your engine computer?

1987 ford ranger 4cyc heat not working water level fine could it be thermostat

Does the coolant temperature gauge show the same level that it always has? If so, it's likely not the thermostat.

A common problem involves the water valve that allows hot coolant to flow into the heater core. This valve is usually located close to the firewall behind the engine. If this valve does not open, you will have no heat. These valves can get corroded, and the cable from the heater control can sometimes come lose. See if the arm on the valve moves when you move the heater control to heat. It should.

How do u replace the starter in a 2000 sonnata

Sounds like you may have a voltage problem. Do yourself a favor and don't try to do this yourself. Your starter either dies or it doesn't (almost always). A more common problem would be a weak fuel pump.

See if the dealer has any TSB or Recall on this problem. If not, you might want to check out www.alldatadiy.com and put in your specifics. Find the flow chart for hard start, crank no start or slow/sluggish starting. That should get you moving in the right direction.

Hope that helps.
