The best oil for any car is 5W-30 synthetic, I personally recommend Mobile 1. 5W-30 Synthetic flows more rapidly to engine parts thereby reducing "dry start" wear. In addition, full (not part) synthetics contain fewer additives (they don't need them) than conventional oils. Conventional oil additives "burn off" rapidly (500-1000 miles) after an oil change and sludge accumulates over time as a result.
Synthetic oils use much less of these additives (5% vs 20-30%) than conventional (Dinosaur oil) so there's much less sludge to build up. Synthetic oil also has a more uniform molecule size, this extends oil longevity and reduces running temperature.
I've personally used Mobile 1 for many yeas in my cars and would recommend it although I'm quite sure that other FULL synthetics would offer similar benefits.

Use a 20 50 synthetic blend
and allways change the oil every 2000 miles
if you go over 100 or 200 miles its ok.
i dont care what they say the cleaner the oil the far longer the miles.
allways use super unleaded fuel.
never ever put one drop of regular.

Drain engine oil and tranny oil from engine, replace with correct amount of engine oil. Check on getting a Chilton or Haynes repair guide for your vehicle. This will help you better understand your vehicle.
The best engine oil for your car is what is specified in the owner's manual. There should also be writing on the top of the oil fill cap saying what kind of oil is needed. This type of oil is specified because that is what Mercedes designed the motor to use.
i hop you put new sleeves on tha block and new pistons and well machined tha sleeves also put a new oilpump and clean the block properly an use high presure water to clean oil galeries use sufficient oil in rebuildind and not alot of silicon coz it can block oil galeries

Once you are using a synthetic oil, that is the only oil you may use from know. Anything else WILL do damage to the seals in the engine. This engine also comes from the factory with synthetic oil. Use a Mercedes oil filter. Believe me please, there is a difference in how oil filters are made and an inferior oil or filter can cause major engine damage!
IT MEANS THAT YOUR OIL LEVEL IS VERY LOW AND NEEDS TO BE FILLED. CHECK THE OIL LEVEL WITH THE DIPSTICK IF EQUIPPED. IF NOT, THEN ADD 1 OR 2 QUARTS OF OIL TO SEE IF THE OIL LIGHT GOES OFF. IT MAY TAKE SYNTHETIC OIL SO DON'T PUT CONVENTIONAL OIL IN IT IF YOU SEE A MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC OIL RECOMMENDATION STICKER UNDER THE HOOD. Either the sending unit,(this unit is on the motor)is malfunctioning, or your engine oil pump may not be providing enough pressure. This could be due to sticky oil pressure bypass valve,,worn out pump,,or worn engine main bearings. If it is just a case of worn engine oil bearings,this is usually indicated by high oil pressure when cold,,but low oil pressure when hot,.i wouldn't worry to much, since most engines suffer from this same complaint and doesn't harm the engine any.
