I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, when you turn all the way to the left or right, it sounds like the tire is skipping or rubbing, there is plenty of clearance, I had the algnment checked and the cv joints, any ideas?

Well it's all wheel drive period, I can shift to 4wd L or 4wd normal , or neutral, on this model I don't have the option to go to 2 wheel, or at least as far as I can tell

Not familiar with the ZJ, but does it have a locking differential? Do they use limited slip additive in ZJ diff? If so, then its probably due for a fluid change and new additive.

I have 2002 grand Cherokee that makes noise that sounds like tires are rubbing when making turns left or right. Seems worse when jeep has been driven for awhile.

You probably have Quadra Drive. Your problem comes from lack of limited slip additive in the differential fluid. If the fluid was changed a long time ago, you better change it and add the limited slip additive. If it was changed lately, then just add the limited slip additive. Drive some tight figure 8 s after the fluid change, to let the additive work into the vari-lok differentials.
Sometimes the problem is a low fluid level in the T-case, so check that out as well.

This is most likely the power steering pump that you hear. Check the fluid level to be sure it is full. If the fluid is full then the pump is going out. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Sounds like tire rub when turning right or left

It may be your power steering. Try checking the level of the power steering fluid. If you are not familiar with where this is check your owners manual and it will definitely tell you where it's located under the hood. If the fluid is at a good level it is most likely something to do with your wheel alignment. This can only be checked and serviced by a licenced motor mechanic or specialist alignment centre.

Good luck
