The key must make metal contact to work or tr the anti theft device won't activate go to a paint store and buy a small can of paint cleaner for oil based paint. dip the metal part of the key for an hour before removing it, then wipe clean, thisshould fix your problem if not get back to me and I will give yo a couple more tips.
