First the operating range for the fuel is 35 PSI idel and 50 at full throttle and the vachum boost will allow 4 pumps very fast before it runs out of vachum thats why yo don't wantto pump breaks. and the powersteering is hydrolic and has nothing to do with vachum.

your welcome, if you havea problem with vachum test the brake booster valve it's located behind the master clyinder it's a big round can and has a half inch hose on it, pull the hose and if it makes a swoosh noise then it's ok, if not pull off the hose remove the plastic piece off the hose and try sucking and blowng threw it, if yo can **** and blow threw it you need a new brake vachum check valve

How do you know if your air &gas regulator on honda accord 2002 ex is working ?????

If you mean the fuel pressure regulator, you do a fuel pressure test. That checks the fuel pump, fuel filter, and the pressure regulator. Rent or borrow a fuel pressure gauge, hook it onto the test port, turn key on, and read the pressure. With engine running, read it again, it may drop a few psi which is normal. No spark

Yes. No crank sensor signal usually means no spark. The ecu has to receive crank position to set spark timing. I think you've really hit a big problem. You may need to get in touch with some people who have done this mod. I've always heard it's best and easiest to swap the engine with its ecu and the wiring harness into another car. Or something more compatible with that jdm engine.

What does the fuel pressure have to be on a 1997 dodge intrepid

  1. Without vacuum applied to the regulator, the 3.3L engine fuel system operates at 55 psi (379 kPa). With the engine idling and the manifold vacuum applied to the regulator, the system operates at approximately 46 psi (317 kPa).
  2. Without vacuum applied to the regulator, the 3.5L engine fuel system operates at 48 psi (331 kPa). With the engine idling and the manifold vacuum applied to the regulator, the system operates at approximately 39 psi (269 kPa).
  3. The fuel system pressure varies with the different amounts of manifold vacuum applied to the regulator. If the pressure is NOT correct, record the pressure and remove the gauge.

Hi.

If fuel pressure is low and you have already replaced the fuel pump, then the problem is usually the fuel pressure regulator. The pressure regulator is in same assembly with fuel filter. The assembly is located to the fuel tank, bolted to the truck's frame. The pressure is tested connecting a gauge like this : Set Sealey VSE952 to the port on the fuel rail. The pressure on Grand Cherokee must be around 49 psi plus or minus 5 psi. If engine runs but pressure is below 44.2 psi , check for a blockage in fuel supply line between fuel rail and fuel pump module (e.g.kinked line). If the line is not blocked, replace fuel pressure regulator and filter. Test pressure with and without fuel cap on.

Another test to be done is reading pressure, then shutting the engine off with the gauge connected. If pressure goes down too quick, then the regulator is defective. After 5 minutes the pressure should not go below 24 psi. If it does replace the regulator.

If regulator is OK check for leaks at the injectors that can cause fuel pressure drops. To check for injectors leakage clamp off the rubber hose of the pressure gauge tool between fuel rail and the port. If pressure staysr above 24 psi and before was dropping, then a fuel injector or the fuel rail is leaking.

Below a diagram representing the fuel rail and test port. The engines from same years like your six cylinder have the port and rail in the same position.

What engines can fit in a 1997 honda del sol

Assuming you have a 1500. You can fit a d series, D16a1 or D16y8 (120-130bhp), a B16 (150) a B16a (JDM 160), a B18 from a Integra Tpre R (187), a K20 from a RSX, or a H22 from a Prelude. Most engines need a little work and wiring harnesses, but check it out thoroughly online on forums to udnerstand what is involved.

My personal choice would be a B16 or B18, light engines that are bulletproof.

Go for it :)

I have a 90 crx si with a b16a vetec engine in it. I was wondering what kind of engine is in it because it is a swap. the motor number is 1207276? and i have an idleing problem and im pretty sure that its...

A B16A with no number fallowing it is a JDM engine. If it was a B16A1 for example it is a USDM engine. As for the idle problem its probably a tps sensor and if it idles really low rpms you should up the idle at the trottle body to idle at 800 rpms to be safe, To low of a idle will cause bearings to go out and throw a rod.
Lookj at the valve cover if it is a jdm you will know if it is a SIR or a SIR2, SIR has larger font for the DOHC and smaller font for the VTech The sir2 has larger font Vtech and smaller font DOHC. The SIR2 also has oil jets underside of pistons and rods to help lubricate piston rod conections.

I suspect fuel pump problem how do I check fuel pressure, what tools do I need

There should be a Schrader valve on the fuel rail (looks like a valve stem on a tire, it is metal).

You need to connect a fuel pressure gauge to that valve and do the following test:

  1. Relieve fuel pressure.
  2. Remove the 12 mm sealing nut from the fuel rail. Attach the fuel pressure adapter nut, 12 mm (90201 - P0A - 003) and the special tool.
  3. Start the engine. Measure the fuel pressure with the engine idling and the vacuum hose of the fuel pressure regulator disconnected from the fuel pressure regulator and pinched. If the engine will not start, turn the ignition switch on, wait for two seconds, turn it off, then back on again and read the fuel pressure. Pressure should be: 260 - 310 kPa (2.7 - 3.2 kgf/sq.cm, 38 - 48 psi)
  4. Reconnect vacuum hose to the fuel pressure regulator. Pressure should be: 210 - 250 kPa (2.1 - 2.8 kgf/sq.cm, 30 - 37 psi) If the fuel pressure is not as specified, first check the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is OK, check the following:
    • If the fuel pressure is higher than specified, inspect for:
    • Pinched or clogged fuel return hose or line.
    • Faulty fuel pressure regulator.
    • If the fuel pressure is lower than specified, inspect for:
    • Clogged fuel filter.
    • Faulty fuel pressure regulator.
    • Fuel line leakage.
