SOURCE: I need to use my

Hi,
If you are lucky the remote key batteries might be flat - the replacement type might be CR1620, or CR2032, but it would be sensible to check the old ones first - for type, quantity and voltage.
Hope this helps.D

If you can get hold of a door lock wiring diagram (maybe photocopied from the dealer?) and unplug the wiring connector to the door lock motor, put a testlight across the positive and negative terminals for the lock motor. If the light flashes on for a second or so when you press the remote button then the motor is getting power but not operating, so it is faulty. If there is no flash, either you've hooked it up wrong or there is a wiring or central lock module fault. The time and effort that you put into doing this is probably better spent on taking the car to the dealer, as their trained technicians will diagnose the fault quickly. And they'll probably go through the diagnosis procedure regardless of whether you've already done it, rather than replacing parts on the say so of the customer who may or may not have diagnosed the fault correctly (no offense intended).

Hope this helps,
Mark.

SOURCE: 2003 bmw 325i keys does not unlock and the door

insert the key into the drivers side or passender side front door, twist the key and pull open on the handle at the same time and the door will open. It might take a few times to get it, but this does work, source BMW AG Munich.

Kia rio2001 have changed lock mechanism on the boot door but still locks but not unlock key turns ok?ay

do you mean not unlock with the central locking ? the control lock is the drivers door lock , this sends the lock/unlock signal to the other locks so i'd check that this is working ok , otherwise it would be a wiring fault, loose connection etc so have to trace wiring from boot lock and see if any loose , corroded wires etc

Hi there key dont work

it could be a problem with the central locking unit. you would need to have the system red on a obd read that does this part of the vehicle, you could try to reset the system key in ignition turn to number 2, press fob doors should lock and unlock with the button pressed. as for the side door this is controlled by the front door on that side this door has to be locked and the pin moved in the lock to send the power to lock the side door. with the central locking not working on the system and you manually locking it it may not be going all the way to lock both doors. or the central locking is not working at all. the fuse for central locking is in the main fuse box.

Power door locks will not lock except manually

First of all, check ACC fuse in the driver side junction box. The central controller for power door locks is the body ECU. From your description it may be working only partially. Can the doors be locked using a key? If so, this would indicate the actual locking mechanism is OK. Do the front door lock control switches lock the doors?

yes there is if you drop down the glove box lid and remove the bolts holding the fuse box. unclip the fues box and pull it down. turn the fuse box around and there is a fuse on the back (i thing its a 15amp)
this is the other fuse for the central locking.

please let me know if this helps

Most likely you have a bad TWICE unit. it is located under the driver's seat, at a low point in the floor and often gets wet.

Lost door lock remote for 2001 Nissan Xterra.

You don't want to turn the security system completely off, besides there really is no need to. To arm and disarm the vehicle simply use the key in the drivers door. When you turn the key and lock the car the system will arm after about 30 seconds. When you come back to the car and unlock the car with the drivers door lock cylinder the system will unarm, just the same as if you were using the remote. If the system is unarmed and it still wont start you probably have a NATS issue with the key. This is different than simply disarming. You can't shut off or disarm the NATS system.

Central locking keeps locking the car. Unable to open drivers side door

Hello, we have a 2003 Kia Rio- problem as above- unlocking and then locking- only way in and out through passenger door.
This is what I have done and everything is back to normal- I hope it works for you.
1 Remove 25AMP fuse that controls door central locking from main box under the bonnet.
(AT this stage my passenger door opens- drivers side does not, the mechanism won't fully rotate)
2, Spray key with WD40 (or similar moisture repellent lubricant). Gently turn key to loosen mechanism- Partly remove key and spray lubricant into lock, have fun locking and unlocking!
3, Replace 25 amp fuse
4, Write yourself a cheque for garage labour and parts and wife brownie points!
