Problem for Mitsubishi 2001 Montero
Radio Locked Up, due to wrong code entered.....
After having battery removed and charged, I put in the wrong code 3x for the radio, before I found what the correct radio code was and before I could put it in the correct radio code it locked up and displayes the word "Off" on the LCD screen.....How do I reset the radio to display the word "Code" on the LCD screen(like it was originally displaying) before I locked up the radio, so I can enter in the correct radio code?

simple the car radio has a small battery inside called a volitile memory needs this battery to keep the radio memory you have to disconnect one of the side might have to unsolder it leave it off for 20mins then start all over again
