I'm mainly a chrysler expert but did alot of gm & ac certified. I'd check the motor for that selection, not sure where it's located, but it's on the heater/ac box. You can check it for power but it's probably shot to be honest. They burn out alot in all cars. If that's not it, let me know & I'll go from there.

My climate control only blows out cold air but the rear climate control works as it should

Could be the controller or a faulty blend door.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and evaporator along with the vents. The controller uses electric motors to change the direction of air flow.

2001 Suburban: I have a 2001 chevy suburban and the air condition...

if its the computer climate controlled series then it might be the the vents. what happenes some times is the vent wont switch over from hot to cold or vise-versa. i had the same problem but reversed, no heat in front and it worked up to the last time i had switched it from hot to cold.
give it a shot, best of luck

I had the similar problem with my 99 suburban. I replaced the blower switch and works just fine.

1999 Chevy Suburban - My rear air vents had COLD a/c coming out but my front vents had Cool/Warmer air coming out. I added a can of freon and now it needs more. I can hear a hissing sound near the joint...

The hissing is caused by the freon going through the orifice tube, so do not touch the 2 nuts. You will loose the freon in the system.

What's probably going on is the mode actuator is not functioning correctly.

Take it to a professional, a dealership should be able to help you.

1999 Suburban, A/C on warm air from front vents, cold air in rear

The car uses the same freon in the front as it does in the rear. If the rear a/c is working, you either have a plugged evaporator in the front unit, or perhaps a bad heater switch. Try switching the heater to hot and see if it blows even warmer air from the front vents. If so, the heater switch is working and then it sounds like a plugged evaporator or maybe a plugged orifice tube. That is a good place to start looking. Hope this helps.

Rear a/c not blowing cold, front works fine.

you may not have enough refrigerant. a low charge can cause the rear in this dual system to not work for beans. charge with a can of uv and find the leak. fix the leak. evac the system and recharge. i think you take 4 lbs, but check the accumulator sticker. you may want to just change the accum at the same time.
