You can test the blower motor by connecting a positive and negetive wire directly to the 2 terminals on the motor.
As far as the resistor goes. If the blower motor only works on high fan speed then the resistor is bad. If it works on all speeds except high, then the relay is bad. Good luck. Hope this helps.

The blower motor has a resistor attached to it that probably has gone bad. When you use the fan select switch, power is sent through one of the resistor channels to control the speed of the blower motor.

You can test to see if the resistor is completing the ground circuit by connecting a wire from ground and touching it on one of the resistor terminals. If the blower motor comes on, then the speed control switch may be bad ( or the wiring harness is not making the connection). If the blower doesn't kick on, then try touching the ground wire on the negative side of the motor. The motor should rotate. If not the motor is bad. If it does rotate, the resistor is bad.

04 rodeo isuzu - the fan control lever is stuck on 4 how do i fix that or do i just need to buy a new part

This is normally the blower motor resistor rather than the speed control...To test the resistor it is located at blower motor..normally no less than 4 wires are in the connector that plugs into resistor...unplug resistor connector, turn ignition on...turn speed control on at all speeds while checking connector at all wire ends of connector...check each wire at all speeds If you have power at all speeds then the resistor has failed...If you dont have power but at only 1 or 2 then the speed control switch has came slightly disconnected at back of switch or the control switch has failed.

1997 isuzu rodeo blower will not come on relay is good

replace blower motor and resistor at the same time to fix it. The motor may work and may have to much resistance and an old motor will burn up a new resistor.

most times the switch is on the ground side of the a/c blower switch, why,I don't know, the variable switch isn't variable, its hooked to a resistor card and different resistances vary the motor speed and the card is behind the dash on most cars

Subject: 2004 isuzu ac/heater blower is not working

The resistors are in circuit only on the lower fan speed settings.
On the highest speed setting, power is switched directly to the fan motor.
Check fan power supply fuses,
Check power is available to the fan when high speed selected.
If all above OK, apply power directly to the motor to verify fan motor runs- if it doesn't the motor may need replacement/repair.

Easy fix. Usually the blower motor resistor gets messed up. (Page 3-8 Haynes manual 47017). The dash light could be a few things. All my bulbs went bad. Little bit of a hassle but no problem with the book.
