1991 Chevy Camaro RS engine cut off while driving on the freeway. All the lights and electrical work, and the engine cranks, it just won't start. I recently had the rotor, cap, spark plugs, spark plug wiresand the fuel filters changed. Any ideas?

Check wire near fusible link off of battery.i had this problem.its a fuelpump lead from ur battery to the plug going into ur harness.this wire corrodes away and cuts out fuel pump with a bad connection.same fusible link splits off from ur battery to ur alternator andfans as well as ur fuel pump.

Trouble shooting for 1997 RS chevy camaro

Hi Pam,
Sound like the mass air flow sensor.
While your car is running ,lift the hood .Follow the hose from the throttle body to the air filter box. There will be a sensor mounted as part of the hose. Tap on the top of the sensor with a screwdriver handle a couple of time, if faulty it will stall the engine out.

Check the battery. If the battery is good, check for power to the starter. If you have power to the starter, but it won't crank over, you might have a bad starter. You can try whacking it a few times with a hammer to try and shift the armature. If that lets it crank over, you have a bad starter.

I wanna know where is the electric fuel pump relay on my chevy camaro z28 1991. the engine run good when he is clod but stop when he is hot i think is the relay

Sounds like a crank sensor rather than fuel pump. You should check your fuel pressure at the injector rail to get a better idea of the cause.....Mike

Doesn't seem to have spark?? did you use a tester?? basic needs, spark tester(in line works best) fuel pressure guage, injector signal tester(noid light) and finally compression guage, rad tester optional, check spark and injector signal, the remove spark plugs and note their color, do a compression test, all cylinders should read within 10 percent, lo compression on one or two indicate head gasket, no compression timing belt, have fun

You need to run move diagnostics. You are getting fuel up to the injectors but are the injectors spraying.
How do you know that your pump is fine? It might be running but is it building up the right amount of pressure? What is it at? If it is below 33psi then you may need a new pump or possibly a fuel pressure regulator.
If it passes then you will need to test the injectors. You can go to the part store and buy a repair manual and a special key that allows you to retrieve the codes that are stored. If you write back with the code numbers I can give you the definitions. Good luck.

how long does it stay running for? Could be the Ignition Control Module but if that were the case i think it would continue to run, but not well. did you replace the plugs as well as the wires?
