It is probably latched and you put screwdriver in hole turn key and pull screw driver to open latch

It sounds like the latch is stuck, if you crawl into the trunk through the fold down, is there an emergency release lever? If it has one and you can get the trunk open, make sure you lubricate all the moving parts on the latch before closing it again. You might also want to open and close it a few times to get the lubricant worked into it. I would use a heavy oil but you can probably get away with WD-40.

Trunk no lock

You probably need to reset the pin. When you shut the truck, the pin is suppost to latch. The pin is probaly stuck. Try pushing it back and add some WD 40. You need to get the lock pin back in the correct position

check the trunk latch on the lid,use a screwdiver to see if it locks when you insert the shaft of the screwdriver in the latch. if it doesn't lock check the inside trunk release could be stuck in the up position.or the latch is dry try to oil it with dry lube or wd 40

We live in a cold state (MN) and this year though it hasn't been incredibly cold our 2000 Kia Sephia constantly freezes shut. The power door lock on the driver side won't move from the inside or the...

part of the problem with being in such a cold place is even tho its so cold there is still moisture in the air. if you door wont close or open, you need to check the latch out and make sure its not just bent. as for not being able to unlock you door. the latching system is connected to the lock and handle. if the latch wont move don't use wd-40 that will make it worse. you need to pull open the door panel and get it greased with a grease gun. wd-40 will not keep the parts moving in that kind of cold. if latch wont reset
when you get it open, it wont close. just grease it up. oh it would help if you get water guard for your windows. protect you parts from freezing. take care.

Probably its linkage mechanism is dirty, stuck with grit, and needing a lubricant.
Spray some light lubricant, such as WD-40 on the trunk lock. Then use a flat-end screw driver to try to pry the lock back-and-forth. This should free the linkage mechanisms in there and allow the lock to operate.

I have a 2000 grand am gt sunroof is stuck open almost half way. The sunroof closes good til you get to that point and then it doesnt move at all

Clean the rails for dirt. Then lubricate all moving parts with WD-40. Then grease them. Check the wiring connections to be sure they are clean and tight.
The driving motor maybe out of sync.

I can't open the trunk of my 2000 grand jeep cherokee laredo

Have you tried pressing firmly at the bottom-center and then trying?
If you get it open, spray the lock mechanism with some durable lubricant - not WD-40 or similar since these lose most of their volume through evaporation.
