Question about 2001 Volkswagen Passat
On a passat 2000 wagon the driver side foot well collects water during heavy rains. i cleaned out the battery well and that drain should drain well. is there a roof drain which could causes this? i have no moon roof or sunn roof, only solid roof.
Get under the car on passenger side there is a drain tube coming down the fire wall straighten out a metal clothes hanger shove it up through there a couple times leafs and debri fall on your car at the bottom of the windsheild this is where your car get outside air for ac and heater leafs and debri cloggs this ha ha watch out its gonna be a lot of water coming out some ppl may tell you its your heater core but its not

If this only occurs during heavy rain you have a problem with the drains around the bulkhead. Alternatively the heater matrix could be leaking. Check to make sure you are not loosing coolant from the engine. If you find you are constantly topping up the coolant then heater matrix is suspect.
