Question about 1992 Mitsubishi Diamante
I have a 1992 Mitsu Diamante, DOHC, 3.0L, and that's all I really know about the engine. We took the camshaft off to get it tested to see if it was any good and the guy lost one of the caps (?) that hold the camshaft in place. My husband says the cam is a bearingless cam... I don't know for sure, but I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the actual name of the cap thingy so I can get a new one. The Mistu house wants to charge me over $500 to replace the entire cam even though the camshaft is just fine!
Your front and back caps is called bearing caps because they hold bearings in place .the middle ones is called caps.they hold cam shaft in place.
