1997 corolla crank pully bolt thread (left hand thread?)

it will be a normal RH thread. For easy removal use a 1/2 drive rattle gun and you will not have to try and hold the crank while you are undoing the bolt.

Engine won't running after replaced head gasket

did you change the timing belt ..when the head gaskets are replaced ,,the vehicle got so hot it stretched it out of time ..It is mainly a strong rubber band in my opinion ,,but it will not crank if the belt is out of time totally or if the belt is broke ..takes me as a mechanic 4 hours to do this job

I'm having difficulty removing the bolt in the crank shaft pully. Is it a left or right hand thread?

It is a right hand thread, it is RARELY a left hand thread, to avoid confusion and costly the last resort, you may have to borrow and use and air rattle gun, that not only loosens it, but also shocks the bolt to be removed (shockwave) some people who do install this bolt use loctite threadlocker of some description rather than torquing it up to correct amount ONLY

Is the crank pully left or right hand thread

It should be a right hand thread, if you put a breaker bar on the bolt and touch the starter, the bolt should come loose. Make sure the bar is up against something solid on the right hand side of the car, not the radiator hose, or your hand. Hope this helps.

It is a right hand thread and you usually need an impact gun. Take the fan out of the way, to give you more room, I have found that helps.
