No it would not ! you probably have a 2-3 Shift Solenoid (SS) problem !
You trailblazer has Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) located on the tail shaft of the trans . this sensor supply's info to the PCM for vehicle speed . Your trailblazer also has a Input Speed Sensor (ISS) if this were bad it would cause erratic shifts all gears ! Does your vehicle have a check engine light lit or any other type light like a yellow wrench or service vehicle soon ? Your best bet is to take it to AAMCO or some other ASE certified repair facility !
Follow the radiator hose back to the engine on the top side. Where the hose connects to the engine is the thermostat housing. Remove the hose clamp and hose (when vehicle is cool). remove the housing itself and the thermostat will be right in front of you. .
It sound like the transmission cooler inside the radiator tank is leaking into the coolant. You could try to fix it yourself, but without the proper tools the tanks are difficult to R&R. I'd try to take the radiator back to whoever you got it from.

Your post does not make sense, it is listed under 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, you say you have a 2007 Trailblazer 4.6 liter. A Trailblazer does not have a 4.6L engine, it is a 4.2L. If you do have a Trailblazer, it does not a cabin filter.
