My nissan pulsar n13 motor starts sometimes and runs good but when i turn it off it wont start again as i have changed the distributer, ecu unit, all fuses, and all fusible links, i cannot find were the immobiliser is if it has one, would it be the ignition switch, it is the carberetor model, hope you can help, thanks barry.

car turnes over all the time, but only starts sometimes, soon as you turn car off it will not start again, as something is stooping the power to the car.

sounds like like a fuel problem if you've checked the spark ,check for any cracks etc to the pipe work to and from air intake ,carberetor and vacuum system ,remove a plug a turn engine over a smell if there is fuel getting through to the cylinders , check operation of fuel pump if not getting fuel

car is getting fuel to it, when the car decides to start i can drive it were ever i like but the the moment i turn it off, it wont start again.e

you need to check its got spark/getting fuel when the engine isn't starting so these can be eliminated as the cause if you have done that then the problem elsewhere so check the air intake isn't getting blocked by the intake hose/pipe collapseing test this when you have engine running lift hood get some one to rev engine a look to see if air intake pipe isn't becoming flat ,

Is it a manual or auto transmission on the car?

  • Rezanate Apr 28, 2014

you might want to check the neutral switch in the transmission. If when it does start, there seems to be no problem, it could just be that the neutral switch in the transmission is starting to go bad and needs changing.

Pulsar N13 instrument cluster no TRIP or OD

the common faults with most n13 pulsar dash clusters come from the rear circuitry where theey are all running to their respective gauges . heat and time finally get to the circuits and they let go causing a very small crack in the line causing no voltage to the gauge. easy to fix with a soldering iron and lots of patience .. good luck
