Question about 1997 Dodge Neon
All I get is a single click..(Battery is brand new btw), So I removed the starter, brought it to an auto parts store. It tested ok. I reinstalled it, and made sure the terminals and all cable ends were spotless, Tried to start it, just a single click and no more..Engine can be pop started and does run fine that way..Any body have any solutions?..I'm thinking solenoid somehow..
Well being you can pop start it,the engine isn't siezed. I would cut the insulation on both battery cables & see how nicely green they are. Then I would toss them for scrap, must recycle! & buy a new set of cables. You might have so much resistence in the cables, especially the ground to start the car.
