The oil blows out due to excessive crankcase pressure. more than likely a piston has a hole in it or it needs rings.

I have a problem with oil blowing back through the dipstick in my 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ 6 cyl engine... I have built a few engines of various types over the years and have done all my maintenance all my...

No solution from me, Note: Sounds like your pretty familiar with the Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV). You said the valve is pulling a vacuum I am assuming it is from the intake manifold side correct? With the PCV was working sure seems like it would keep the oil from coming out of the dipstick tube. I am stumped as well, sounds almost like too much blow by from the cyclinders you already stated that with the possible broken compression rings?

Use 4.0 valve cover on 90 4.2l engine omit pcv valve use breather

not a good idea, engines rely on negative pressure(vacuum) for seals on crank and camshaft seals
also for emission standards, sorry

I have a 1991 jeep wrangler.Getting motor oil in the air filter. What could cause this to happen? No PCV valve to replace.

Yes there is a PCV valve, you just have to look for it.
Engine may be over full on oil.

Oli leaking 1990 yj

Look for leaks high on the engine, like valve cover gaskets...

High oil pressure, if you actually had that, would not necessarily exit the engine....Crankcase pressures are not related to system pressure, per se.

Get a mirror and inspect very carefully.. Sometimes you have to clean the engine and test again, as air blows leaks all over (while driving...)

What type of transmission do i have?

Your Wrangler is a YJ and the model is an "S". A Wrangler manufactured in 1987 through 1995 are all YJ's and then from 1997 through 2006 are all TJ's. The new Wrangler models are dubbed JK's.

Engine blowing oil from oil filler cap

I had the same problem. I changed the pcv valve and checked the hose. It still did the same thing. Then I checked the metal tubing that the hose connects to and found it was full of hardened gunk. I sprayed PB Blaster into the tube let it soak for awhile. Then took an old choke cable, put it on a drill and ran it into the tube like a drain snake. It took a while of doing this over and over but eventually got it cleared out. Now, no more oil all over the engine and hood compartment.
