If you know system for a fact has full charge, The low pressure switch will keep ac from engageing, thus shut the system back off. it is simple to replace it is on the reciever dryer under hood on passenger side a silver cylinder you will see a switch like plug on the dryer this is a common problem.and they just unscrew and usually have a valve underneath that keeps you from losing freon if you remove quickly.

you can usually from just time lose up to a half pound of freon in one year so it is a possiblity itt is just a little low.

does it have r12 in it? or has it ever been retro fitted?

i suggest you take one of your caps off of lines and push down on valve to hear if it has any freon in it. If it does i would take it somewhere to fully charge it if not you can purchase a retrofit kit and a couple cans of r134.

if that does not take care of the prob then disconnect your neg battery cable for 30 seconds reconnect and try again.

that was good with the battery reset. I had replaced everything under the hood and was trying to charge it up. had to jump out pressure switch after reset

SOURCE: Where can I find the flasher relay on a 92 silverado?

It's on the driver's side about half way up the dash. Almost ,kinda sorta by the back of the headlight switch. They're a pain in the ***. If I remember right I used to take the head light switch out to get it.

SOURCE: 01 Chevy Silverado 4 X 4 not working. 4WD light

Having the same exact problem but with my 1999 escalade. Thought it was the actuator bought a new one installed it transfer case would engage but front end wouldnt lock. Took it out of housing left it plugged in got a friend to go through all the 4wd for me and the plunger never moved out the actuator. Checked my wiring harness which is a four prong ann it had one hot prong like it is suppose to. Traced wires even replaced dash switch same problem. Taking it to local dealership tom to have it checked for codes. I was told it could be the transfercase actuator even though its workin that actuator is what sends power to the front to engage the actuator to lock the differential.

Check to see if the brown and black strip wire is dissconnected by the fuel pump relay if not try dissconnecting the battery for a minute and see if the light comes back on.
