The rotor button is located under the distributor cap (what the other end of the spark plug wire plugs into).  It should be held on by one phillips head screw and take a couple minutes to change out.  As far as the wires go, I had the same problem with the aftermarket wires on my 89 honda.  I'm assuming you have aftermarkter wires by now too.  I would suggest trying Bosch OEM wireset if you don't already have them.  For some reason they don't fit very tight with the cheaper ones.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

you have a miss fire under load the most common cause is a bad spak plug wire, if you give it a good old tune up it should take care of the problem.

spark plugs, spark plug wires, distabutor cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter, and PCV valve.....good luck

I have a 98 honda accord 5 spd it has a 4cyl motor vtech i just need to know how to fix a miss fire in cylinder 2 and wich one is cylinder 2

Cylinder #2 is the the second spark plug counting from the right to left.
EX.Below are spark plug on engine
engine
-------------------------------
' (oil cap) '
' (4) (3) (2) (1) '
'_________________'

Your misfire can be cause by couple of things but the cheapest way that you can try to fix your car is to do a tune up by replacing:
1)all spark plugs
2)do a oil change
3)spark plug wires
3)distributor cap and rotor

note misfire can be cause by:
1.bad gas
2.spark plug and/or wire
3.distributor cap and/or rotor
4.valve adjustment
5.injector
6.off timing
7.ECM
8.bad wiring(power, ground or feed line)

How to install new ingnition wires on a 1995 Honda Accord with a 2.2 liter 4- cylinder engine Wires were detached from the distributor. I need to the know the sequence for the installation of the new...

The firing order on most inline 4's is 1-3-4-2. If number one is marked on the cap then all you have to do is take the cap off and have someone crank the engine with the starter to see which way the rotor turns.
If the cap is not marked remove number spark plug and hold your finger over the hole, while some one bumps the starter. When you feel compression (air blow out of the hole) stop, look at which terminal on the distributor cap the rotor is pointing to, that wire goes to number one. Number one is the one closest to the belt end of the engine. Good luck!

Are you sure that the plug wires are in the right order? Fuel filter, is there water in the fuel? Is the air filter and air intake clean and clear?
