The controls always click when you change the setting as it is electronic, don't panic, but you should ask your ex as he is well up in voyager' s and the back seat not folding down properly!!!!!

Wife called somewhat agitatedly.. she had returned home with the car but the headlights and corner lights started to flash as if they were indicator lights, even after whe had swithched off the engine and turned the tlights off... this continued for 20 minutes until I returned homw and disconnected the battery. later the same evening i reconnected the battery ..everything was ok. I am puzzled.. a relay issue perhaps? can anybody advise? Thanks

96ply grand voyager enine turns over but wont start, had battery charged, now lights flashing in dash,ac,rear wiper,4lights total, cam sensor wires old breaking off at connecter,

You 1st need to determine if you have a fuel problem or an electrical problem. 1st pull one of your spark plug wires and find an old plug to stick inside the wire. If you don't have one, remove the plug from the engine and use it. 2nd, with the plug inside the wire, place it someplace on the metal portion of the engine so that it is grounded. Then as you spin the engine over, have someone watch the end of the plug to see if there is a spark or not. If there is, then more than likely you have a fuel problem. If no spark, you have an electrical problem. Check that and them repost your message.

Engine won't turn over

This is most likely the battery, sometimes you can have enough power for dome lights and radio, but not enough "Cranking Amps" to start the vehicle. Charge it, or take it to an Auto zone or something. They will charge it and test it for free.

First the dash controls went, no power to the gas gauge or temp or speed, then a weak start. Next a clicking sound that stopped the car from starting. New battery and was working when the dash was hit....

Initially it sounded like the typical dash gauge cluster solder problem on the main wiring harness of the dash circuit board, and possibly a low battery charge. Both very easy to fix. Your further description makes me think it might be the BCM (body control module). This is a bit more involved. If the battery is fully charged and battery cables are clean and in good condition, do you get any engine cranking or clicking sounds at all? If not, then I would strongly suspect the BCM. I fixed mine by taking the BCM out of the vehicle (not really too difficult) and locating a resistor on the circuit board labelled 331. There is only one of them with this number. I re-melted the solder on each end of this resistor, and have had no further electrical 'ghost gremlin' problems ever since. (over a year now) You may need to do the same with the solder joints on the dash gauge circuit board wiring harness. This problem has to do with defective solder used around that time period. I had to use these fixes on both a 1996 and a 1998 Voyager. Please post any other questions or diagnostic info.

Bring the new battery back to where you bought it and have them check it. Check that the neutral wire (black) is secure to the engine frame. Also check that the wire ends are clean before reconnecting.

1996 Plymouth grand voyager engine cut out on highway, engine will rotate but not start, electrical seems to be fine(interior lights/dash,etc.)replaced fuses as well in fuse box,new coil pack,recharged...

Look for a coil problem or a crankshaft position sensor problem.

Any codes stored on the OBD-II computer? 1996 was the first year that OBD-II was used up to current vehicles marketed in the U.S.

I just got a 1998 PLY Voyager 3.3 o.d. trans. 1. Problem lights blink on & off on rear wiper buttons.2. head lights stay on after i turn off engine day or night.3.Doors a jar dash light stays on.4.air...

Problem #1 The blinking lights in the rear wiper rear defrost area can be reset by holding 2 buttons of the 3 on the left hand side. The top and bottom buttons. Turn the key on and hold them for about 10 sec and they should start flashing differently. Just let it do this. After they start flashing different. It will take 5 to 10 mins. Then one or more will quit flashing all together. If they don't after about 20 min reset them again it can take about 5 trys sometimes before they all go out. Also to fix the dash going out try this. This is a common problem with the voyager, caravans and Town & Countrys. What the problem is is a cold soder in the interment cluster itself. The problem area is where the plug comes from the van into the cluster. You need to take the circuit board out of the cluster and reheat the soder on the back side of the circuit board were the plug plugs into. This will fix the cold soder permanitly I think its about 16 pins you have to reheat with the soder gun. If you don't feel comfrotable doing that you can just replace the interment cluster and it will be fine but if you buy a used one make sure it was tested. This also may fix the ABS light and the airbag light. Hope this helps I have done several of them.

Alternator and electrical problems ive changed alternator twice, now clicking noise under dash bat. light comes on and dash lights flicker

check all battey connections and system grounds. Check that the battery has 12v and holds properly when load tested. To check charging system, don't disconnect any battery leads...put a volt meter across the battery. when running, you should have at least 12.9v and volts should not drop. (usual reading is generally at or near 13) at idle with all accessories on voltage should be close to that as well. voltage should not exceed 14.Also make sure that drive belt is not slipping.

My grand voyager check engine light keeps coming on,but i do not know the problem.its a van.

cycle key, on,off,on,off,on & leave on (not start) now count flashes of check engine light, 2 digit numbers. For example. flash, flash, flash, pause, flash, flash, flash, is code 33. or flash, flash, pause, flash, is code 21. Write them down & get back to me. when you get code 55, that's telling you end of message.
