Question about 1994 Dodge Dakota Club Cab

95 dodge dakota - cranks, runs 4 times, 5th don't wanna run

Have replaced 02 sensor, so now it cranks, runs smooth, fine...but give it throttle too much and it bogs down. Stop somewhere, turn off, cranks fine, about 3 times or so, then 4th stop, cranks, and sounds like hitting on 2 cyl's, runs like that for a few mins, barely... then suddenly, starts running just fine, except push too much gas, and it doesn't really have the power it should! 5.2ltr v8 318 ... new plugs, fuel coming to injectors... "possible catalytic converter?" ??? Ck'd about everything can be ck'd. Like the computer see's something wrong with emissions and don't want the truck to run. Did this all the sudden after filling up with gas. Maybe water?, but used a stablizer, no luck! Doesn't flash "any" code for a problem!

You will need to check the fuel pressure, if it is on the minimum pressure side or lower then you will need to change the fuel pump.

A tune-up is always a good idea. Is the system running rich or lean? Any applicable trouble codes? Is it back firing out the exhaust? If so, I got two thoughts, either an exhaust system problem or exhaust valves?

I would replace the spark plugs and more importantly the spark plug wires. It may be a bad plug wire with a break in it somewhere. It be so small that it only grounds the wire out when it gets warm due to expansion of the insulation around the wire.

Jun 25, 2009- Help! okay... got the CatCon figured out, busted a radiator hose, got that replace, now the cooling system is working just great!, BUT!!.. after it's been running just fine, all the sudden...

rent a fuel tester and check the fuel pressuer that is the first thing to do then if it holds 50 psi then your next issue is if it's a computer, On a 95 I beleive if the computer went south it would just go to base timing and still run fine but would have lousy gasy milage, so do the fuel pump test first, if it fails replace fuel pump fuel sock and fuel filter.

95 dakota dies when warmed up

yes it can but you may have a coolant temp sensor acting up which causes the computer to open the injectors to much which can also cause this 02 sensor code. when it stalls do u have spark and fuel pressure.
